Guido Maniscalco, who in 2011 lost a bid for the District 1 seat on the Tampa City Council, is switching parties from Republican to Democrat.
In an interview with Patrick Manteiga of La Gaceta, Maniscalco, now a member of the code enforcement board and president of his neighborhood association, says that if he runs in 2015, there will be another change besides his thoughtful efforts to get more involved in the community.
In 2011, Maniscalco was a Republicn – next time, he’ll run as a Democrat.
Of course, Tampa’s elections are officially non-partisan.
