The Donald Trump campaign has officially announced what was reported here and other media outlets a few days ago – he’ll be speaking for the first time as a presidential candidate in Tampa this coming Friday at the USF Sun Dome at 7:00 p.m, with doors opening at 5:00 p.m.
Trump has appeared twice in Sarasota over the past year – once in May, before he was a declared candidate when he was (somewhat controversially) named by the local Republican Party as their “Man of the Year,” and again back in late November, two days after Thanksgiving.
He’s banking on winning this Tuesday in the New Hampshire primary, where he continues to be a prohibitive favorite, leading the pack by averaging around 30 percent of the vote.
Florida’s presidential primary takes place on March 15.
