FreedomWorks and Dick Armey to endorse Marco Rubio at event celebrating ‘The Hug’

in Statewide by
Press release: On February 10th 2009, Florida Governor Charlie Crist joined President Obama at a now infamous town hall meeting in Fort Myers to support the $800 billion stimulus bill. This colossal waste of money increased the national debt, did not help the economy and failed to prevent tremendous job losses in Florida and across the country. But Gov. Crist stood hand-in-hand with President Obama nonetheless and applauded his big government scheme that would cost taxpayers dearly.

That is why FreedomWorks PAC has endorsed Marco Rubio as a “Champion of Freedom” and why Chairman Armey will be celebrating (sarcastically, of course) the “Hug’s” one-year anniversary with Rubio at a special event next Wednesday, February, 10th, at the Harborside Event Center in Fort Myers – the exact same location of the Crist-Obama Hug!

This event is open to Florida FreedomWorks members and the media and will serve as a reminder to the people of Florida that they have a clear choice between the two candidates in the Republican primary battle for this U.S. Senate seat.
