A new pizza concept hub will open on First Avenue South where Wood Fired Pizza once was.
Owner Philippe Theodore plans to use the closed down pizza joint to create ethnic inspired pizzas with sauces from all different cultural culinary twists.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the restaurant will get a facelift, but the wood fired grill in the center will remain a focal point. Theodore is also working on a point of sale system that will allow customers to place orders and streamline delivery options.
Theodore also owns World of Beer next door making this latest venture a double benefit. While newer WOB spots are larger and serve food, the downtown St. Pete location isnโt large enough to house both an extensive beer selection and a kitchen. Instead, Pow will likely serve artisan pizzas to beer drinkers next door.
Pow will also serve Asian fusion wings as well as traditional slices. No word yet on when Pow will open.
Pizza lovers can still grab some Wood Fired Pizza from the remaining location on Bearass Avenue in Tampa.
