The Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors has endorsed Republican G.G. Galloway for Congress. Galloway previously served as president of that organization.
“G.G. Galloway’s long history of commitment to our community and industry and his sterling reputation as a professional with the highest standards make him our clear choice for Congress,” said Nancy Ellen Otte, current president of the Association. “The real estate business gives you a deep understanding of every aspect of a community—our business climate, schools, local government. There is no one more thoroughly qualified than G.G. to represent us in Washington.”
Though the endorsement may not come as a surprise considering Galloway’s association with it, it still represents a key endorsement in his campaign. The group is one of 1,600 in the country that makes up the National Association of Realtors, which is the largest trade association in the world. The group also has more than 1,300 members.
Galloway has been an active member of the Association for 27 years.
“I am honored to have the support of folks that I have had the privilege of working with for so many years and who know me so well,” Galloway said. “As President of the Association, I worked to protect private property rights and promote our area’s business community, and I look forward to continuing that fight as I take my conservative values and voice to Washington.”
Galloway is the co-owner of Coldwell Banker Commercial Benchmark in Ormond Beach. He also serves on the Public Policy Committee of the Florida Association of Realtors and on the Taxation Committee of the National Association of Realtors. He also serves as the Federal Political Coordinator for Florida’s 6th Congressional District for the National Association of Realtors. That covers the same district Galloway is seeking.
In addition to his numerous political affiliations through various Realtor organizations, Galloway has also established roots in his community through work as the president of the Rotary Club and the YMCA board of directors.
His list of community engagement is long. It includes positions in the Volusia County Association of Responsible Developers, president of the Daytona Beach Association of Realtors and Ormond Beach Main Street USA, among others.
Galloway is a business and marketing graduate of Clemson University. In an interesting twist, Galloway was also signed as a free agent to the Seattle Seahawks following his college graduation.
Galloway is running on a conservative platform including protecting the Constitution, limiting government, strengthening national security, enforcing immigration laws, simplifying the tax code and reducing the national debt.
Galloway faces fellow conservative Adam Barringer, former two-term Mayor of New Smyrna Beach, and Sandy Adams in the Republican Primary to replace incumbent GOP Representative Ron DeSantis, who is vacating office.
