With this announcement, George LeMieux has the support of 21 sitting Florida legislators.

Quotes from endorsers:

Representative Chris Dorworth – R-Lake Mary: “George LeMieux has already proven he is a superior and effective US Senator. During his time in the Senate, he placed debt reduction and fiscal responsibility at the top of his agenda and fought to get our country back on track. America is in a troubling place and Florida needs a serious Senator with real ideas to lead us back to prosperity.  I know George LeMieux is the right person for the job and that’s why I’m endorsing him for US Senate.”

Representative Bill Hager – R- Boca Raton: “George possesses a strong business acumen which makes him the best candidate to defeat liberal Senator Bill Nelson in November. George has a proven track record of results in the business community and I am confident that he will use his private sector experience to tackle the major issues facing our nation in Washington. America needs more public servants like George, and less career politicians.”

Representative Scott Plakon – R – Longwood: “George truly fought for Florida’s best interest while serving in the Senate. George understands our skyrocketing debt must be controlled and he made reducing the debt his top priority. In the Senate, he introduced legislation that would revert spending to 2007 levels and proposed a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.  George knows what our country needs to do to get back on track and he isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in. That’s why I’m endorsing George LeMieux for US Senate.”

Representative Ray Pilon – R-Sarasota: “Because of the shifting of candidates between Congressional races in Florida it has become clear to me that the best choice in the effort to beat Bill Nelson is Senator George LeMieux. His experience and dedication to Republican principles tops those of any other candidate.”

Representative Ritch Workman – R-Melbourne: “George LeMieux is the only candidate for U.S. Senate who can expose Bill Nelson’s record as a liberal, do nothing Senator who has done nothing to protect our interests on the Space Coast.  I was appalled when Bill Nelson, who claims to be an “Astronaut” stood silently while the Obama Administration dismantled our space program, leaving tens of thousands of Floridians out of work, and the future of space exploration was put into the hands of the Russians and the Chinese. George has already proven he will fight against Washington and for Florida’s best interest. Our families have suffered for far too long under the liberal policies of Bill Nelson, which is why I am endorsing George LeMieux for U.S. Senate.”
