Get your checkbooks ready for a slew of legislative fundraisers this week

Get your checkbooks ready, PAC chairs and Tallahassee uber-lobbyists, there are several fundraisers for legislative candidates planned for this week, the second committee week in advance of the 2014 legislative session.

The week begins with a fundraising reception benefiting the re-election campaigns of Reps. Carlos Trujillo, Larry Ahern, Neil Combee, and Keith Perry. Join them at the Capital Room at The Governors Club. 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, House District 67 candidate Chris Latvala will hold a fundraiser at the Florida Insurance Council in Tallahassee.  Hosts Charlie Dudley, Charlie Guzzo, Jane Hennessy, Cecil Pearce, and Paul Sanford invite you to join them from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at 150 S. Monroe Street, Suite 206.

Other fundraisers on Tuesday:

4:30-6:00pm – Rep. Manny Diaz Jr., Rep. Jake Raburn, Rep. Ross Spano at Governors Club – Capital Room

5:30-7:00pm – Sen. Aaron Bean, Sen. Jeff Brandes at Governors Club – Library Room 

On Wednesday, several former lawmakers hoping to return to the Legislature, including Brad Drake, Eric Eisnaughle, and Scott Plakon as well as hopefuls such as Daniel Diaz Leyva have an event planned at The Plantation Room in The Governors Club. 5:30 p.m.

Another event on Wednesday is a fundraising reception for HD 40 hopeful Colleen Burton hosted by seven members of the Polk County legislative delegation. The fundraiser will take place in the Library Room at the Governors Club. 5:30 p.m.
