GOP incumbents Ed Hooper & Ray Pilon both raise over $20K during first quarter

Two GOP incumbents who very well might not face serious re-election threats did all they could to scare off any possible competition, each raising over $20,000 during the first quarter of the year.

Rep. Ed Hooper had a second straight strong fundraising report, raising $23,675, bringing his overall total to $85,780. Hooper’s spending has been minimal and so he still has over $80,000 in the bank.

Rep. Ray Pilon broke the $100K mark overall, raising $20,055 during the first quarter. Pilon’s spending has also been minimal, leaving him with over $86,000 on hand.

Neither Hooper or Pilon are expected to face serious Democratic opposition, although both men are in seats that should be relatively competitive.
