GOPAC, the Republican state and local political training organization, named state Sen. Rob Bradley as one of its annual Emerging Leaders for 2015.
The Orange Park Republican represents Senate District 7, which covers Alachua, Bradford and Clay counties. Bradley is one of 22 Republican state legislators nationwide included in the yearlong GOPAC program that identifies those who demonstrate a potential for a positive impact in their state and in the Republican Party.
“Our Emerging Leaders program ensures a roster of prepared and tested Republicans ready to lead in their state legislatures and run for higher office,” said GOPAC Chair David Avella, adding that the program has proven effective at advancing the Republican Party.
“Republican majorities in 69 of 99 state legislative chambers have proven a tremendous advantage in federal elections,” Avella added.
The 2015 Emerging Leaders class will meet from June 8-11 for the GOPAC Fifth Annual Emerging Leaders Summit. Participants get the opportunity to learn from policy experts, veteran lawmakers, communications professionals and seasoned political strategist as well as each other.
Members of the GOPAC Legislative Leaders Advisory Board, or a GOP legislative leader, nominates an emerging leader for the program.
Bradley chairs the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Criminal and Civil Justice and serves on the Full Appropriations Committee and the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government. He also serves on the Senate Judiciary, Criminal Justice, Community Affairs and Government Oversight and Accountability policy committees, as well as the Joint Legislative Auditing Committee.
