Gov. Rick Scott announces five board appointments

On Friday, Gov. Rick Scott announced three new appointments and two reappointments to a pair of state regulatory boards.

All of the following appointments are subject to Florida Senate confirmation.

Florida Development Finance Corporation

Scott named three to the Florida Development Finance Corporation. FDFC is a state authorized issuer of industrial revenue bonds through interlocal agreements.

Daniel Davis, 42, of Jacksonville, is president and chief executive officer of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning March 27, 2015, and ending May 2, 2018.

Kevin Hale, 61, of Naples, is executive vice president, director of wealth management, and chief lending officer with Mutual of Omaha Bank. He succeeds Rebecca Reynolds for a term ending May 2, 2018.

Frank White, 36, of Pensacola, is general counsel and business analyst for Sandy Sansing Dealerships. He fills a vacant seat for a term ending May 2, 2017.

St. Johns River Water Management District

Scott then reappointed both Charles โ€œChuckโ€ Drake and Frederick โ€œFredโ€ Roberts Jr. to the St. Johns River Water Management District. Both reappointments are for a term ending March 1, 2019.

Drake, 56, of Orlando, is vice president and hydrogeologist with Tetra Tech Inc. He currently serves as a member of the National Ground Water Association and previously served as an executive committee member for the American Institute of Professional Geologists.

Roberts, 36, of Ocala, is an attorney with Klein and Klein LLC. He currently serves as the vice chair of the College of Central Florida Foundation Board of Directors and the chair of the Boys and Girls Club of Marion County Board of Directors.
