Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Martin Garcia to the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority. He replaces the late Steve Burton.
Garcia, 57, of Tampa, is the managing director of Pinehill Capital Partners, Inc.
Garcia has served on the Board of Trustees for Wake Forest University and on the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar Association.
He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and his Doctor of Law from Wake Forest University School of Law. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning June 25, 2013, and ending July 1, 2013.
Scott also announced the appointments of John Browning and Senator Jim Sebesta to the Florida Transportation Commission.
