Gov. Scott reappoints St. Pete’s James Holton to Citizens Insurance board of governors

Gov. Rick Scott re-appointed James “Jim” Holton to the Board of Governors of the state-run Citizens Property Insurance Corp.

Holton, 60, of Indian Shores, is president of Holton Companies. He previously served as chair of the Florida Transportation Commission appointed by Gov. Jeb Bush from 2005 to 2007, and on the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors.

Holton received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and his law degree from Boston University.

His reappointment ends July 31, 2017.
