The Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) recognized the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce as the top chamber in the state for 2013.

Tampa Chamber was the leader in the category of chambers with an annual budget exceeding $1 million.

The award was presented at the organization’s Annual Conference, held last week at the Sirata Beach Resort & Conference Center in St. Pete Beach.

Two outstanding accomplishments put the Tampa Chamber over the top with the FACP:

  • The organization’s cash position increased by 43% during  a two-year period
  • All four 2012 Small Business of the Year winners in Tampa were semi-finalists for the U.S. Chamber Small Business of the Year

Every year, the FACP awards one of the 500 chambers of commerce within Florida that excelled in a variety of areas, including financial stability, membership recruitment and retention; governmental relations; strategic planning; technology and communications; special events; innovation and accomplishments over the past three years.

FACP is a statewide organization whose purpose is “advancing excellence in chamber management” by “enhancing Florida’s business communities by cultivating successful chamber professionals.”
