Guido Maniscalco to hold kick-off event on Sunday for District 6 bid

West Tampa business executive Guido Maniscalco is hosting a kick-off event for his bid for District 6 of the Tampa City Council.

Term-limited committee chair Charlie Miranda currently holds the District 6 seat. Thomas Clark Castellano has also filed for the March 3, 2015 election.

The spaghetti dinner event is Sunday, March 23 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Sons of Italy Hall, 3315 W. Lemon Street in Tampa. Tickets are $5.00.

“I want to make sure we pass on the promise of a better future to the generations that follow us,” Maniscalco said in a statement. “My focus will be on creating jobs, strong leadership and continued preservation of our beautiful and community and historic neighborhoods that bring such rich heritage to our multi-faceted community, our home, Tampa, Florida.”

The honorary host committee of the event includes former Tampa Mayor Dick Greco, VIGO Importing, Cathy Bartolotti, Marlene Capdevilla, Fran Costantino, Michael J. Fluno, Darlene Frisco, Ernest “Cookie” Garcia, Jamie Granell, Julie Jenkins, Mark Nash, Joseph and Lindsey Procopio.
