Senate Presdident Mike Haridopolos was one of several Republicans critical of President Obama’s plan to spend money to create jobs, reports the News Service of Florida. “While some of the proposals outlined in this speech may have merit, the majority of it sounded like stimulus part two,” Haridopolos, R-Merritt Island, said of the president’s Thursday night speech on creating jobs. “The bottom line is that in order to regain the confidence and trust of American consumers and business leaders, we must restore stability to our nation’s struggling economy. And I am confident, that if President Obama and Congress not only reduce taxes, but immediately repeal Obamacare and adopt a balanced budget amendment, we will succeed in delivering that much-needed stability.”
