HD 61 candidate Ed Narain invites you to a spaghetti dinner on July 13

Democrat Ed Narain will meet with supporters for a sit-down spaghetti dinner Saturday, July 13 in his campaign for House District 61.

Narain will be discussing the details of his plan he calls “People. Not Politics.”

Narain is a community activist running for the seat held by Democrat Rep. Betty Reed, who faces term limits after the 2014 session.

The West Tampa resident wants to “make our public schools stronger, assist our local leaders in developing sustainable economic opportunities for all citizens, and improve the overall well-being of our children and seniors, specifically in our district where the need is greatest.”

A former University of South Florida student body president, Narain spent over 20 years volunteering for organizations like the Hillsborough County Community Action Board, Hillsborough County Head Start Policy Council Board, NFL YET Center, Tampa Guide Right program and Northeast YMCA.

As a community leader, Narain was key to Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Tampa Alumni chapter receiving its first Southern Province Chapter of the Year Award. The fraternity had previously awarded him  both Man of the Year in 2008 and for leadership in 2010. Narain was also named AT&T’s Area Manager of the Year twice.

The event begins July 13, 6 p.m. at 2705 E. 24 Ave., Tampa.  A minimum $10 contribution is requested to attend the event. For more information or to volunteer, visit www.edforflorida.com or call 813-468-2024.
