It’s not everyday, that you see the word “oomph” in an editorial. But that is exactly how the Sentinel’s endorsement of House District 96 candidate, Kristin Jacobs read – with a whole lot of oomph.

The highlights: “Jacobs thinks big, has proven skills to achieve goals. … striking difference in the scope of the candidates’ goals and achievements … She has the negotiating ability, the background knowledge and the necessary spine to become a force in the Democratic Party and in the Legislature. … Democrats who want to improve the party’s clout should send Jacobs to Tallahassee.”

And of course… “Certainly Broward’s legislative delegation could use the oomph.”

The gushing continues and then as if to remove all doubt, in a calamity of understatement, “The Sun Sentinel endorses her in the Aug. 26 Democratic primary for state House 96.”

Oomph indeed.
