Local businesswoman and community leader Heather Fitzenhagen announced she would seek to become the next State Representative from district 78 just one week ago. During that seven day stretch, Fitzenhagen announced today that she has amassed a war chest of over $35,000.
“As a local businesswoman and active member of this community I am humbled by this surge in support. My family and I are so grateful to our friends and family who have assisted us in reaching our one week fundraising goal,” Fitzenhagen stated.
“Putting in place policies to jumpstart our local economy and get Lee County residents back to work is my number one priority. We must improve our economy so seniors living on pensions or life savings can have some relief and see their quality of life restored. If we don’t get Florida working today, the Florida dream will be gone tomorrow.”
The campaign to elect Heather Fitzenhagen will officially kick off at 5:30 p.m. on February 15 at the Royal Palm Yacht Club, located at 2350 W. First Street in Fort Myers.
Fitzenhagen has been a long time resident of Fort Myers. Her husband, attorney Richard DeBoest, was born and raised in Fort Myers. Together they raise and educate their two children, Zan and Olivia, in Fort Myers. Fitzenhagen is an experienced attorney, mediator, business owner, corporate manager, philanthropist and community activist.
