Stacy White collected another key endorsement from one of the most powerful elected officials in Hillsborough County. State Attorney Mark Ober today announced he is supporting White in his bid for County Commissioner for District 4.

White faces both Rick Cochran and Donna Lee Fore to replace term-limited Commissioner Al Higginbotham, who is currently running for District 7.

“Stacy has fought to make schools safer,” Ober said in the statement announcing his support. “He has fought for greater fiscal oversight and accountability. Stacy has fought to make sure our children have the best chance at success.”

Stacy White is a fifth generation native Floridian and lifelong resident of Hillsborough County, who has represented District 4 on the Hillsborough County School Board since 2010. In addition to holding a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, he also serves East Hillsborough as a pharmacist for AmeriDrug.

“I am honored and humbled to receive State Attorney Ober’s support and endorsement,” said White. “(His) reputation is one of the highest character and integrity. He and his team work tirelessly on behalf of the residents of Hillsborough County, every day.”
