After a Senate committee this week approved a bill to allow resort casinos in Florida, a House panel also is preparing to wade into the issue. The House Business & Consumer Affairs Subcommittee has scheduled a workshop Wednesday on gaming issues, including current laws and proposed changes, reports the News Service of Florida. But the Senate Regulated Industries Committee made substantial changes in the Senate version (SB 710) before approving it Monday.
