You know, it's hard to take an article seriously that apologizes for a 1.7 billion dollar Medicare fraud fine like this:

"Some would call it fraud, but before you do, lots of major medical hospitals have payed fines for running afoul of the Medicare rules. Rick Scott would probably tell you the reason his was the biggest fine was because he was the biggest Hospital conglomerate. It is all a question of scale. Long story short, Rick Scott had to resign as CEO because of this. Remember, however, it was a civil, not criminal complaint and fine."

Well! You know. A LOT of hospitals do it... so that makes it okay! Besides, as we point out earlier, Rick churned out the coin, baby! Also, they took out my appendix. Hooray, free markets!

Anytime anyone ends their argument with "well, it was civil, not criminal," you know you're in trouble. Just ask O.J. Simpson.

I think RedState is downplaying the billion-and-a-half dollar fraud which rests solely on the shoulders of Skeletor. As they say, he resigned because of it.

I get that a lot of voters may not care about any of this. And I do think that it'll be a competitive race (more competitive that we originally thought, perhaps). And I will even concede to RedState that Crist going indy has shifted some attention to the Governor's race. But none of that mean's Rick Scott has a "better" chance. He's got a chance because he's got a ton of money.

Also, it would lend a lot more credence to RedState if they actually got Alex Sink's name right.
