If your college is best known for its band, that's the real problem!

I have purposefully avoided discussing anything to do with the situation at Florida A&M University, but I will say this: If your college is best known for its band — it doesn’t matter how good said band is — that is the real problem.


The FAMU Marching 100 is benched for the 2012-13 school year. FAMU president James Ammons should resign or be fired, the Times editorializes. Amid all this, the Bethune-Cookman marching band sees an uptick in applications, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
