Mike Weinstein won the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce’s Impact Jax / WOKV Straw Poll in his race for the State Senate, District 4 taking well over 50 percent of the votes cast for Republican candidates in the race.  The annual Hob Nob Straw Poll is one of largest political events and straw polls in Jacksonville.

“Thank you to all of the voters who participated tonight in the Hob Nob Straw Poll.  This reaffirms that Duval County voters want someone who is from Duval County to represent them in the State Senate.  Momentum continues to build in our campaign as we look forward to earning the votes of the residents of District 4 in 2012.  It is unfortunate that Tallahassee insiders continue to try to buy this election from the people of North Florida.  I look forward to discussing with the voters the issues that are important to them such as getting Florida back to work, keeping taxes low and limiting the size of our government.” said Weinstein.
