With Tim Kaine set to announce this week that he is running for the US Senate, his most likely successor has been former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida as the only other candidate at the top of internal lists. Presidential advisers are now taking a last-minute look at other possibilities.
