Is Ken Burke on the chopping block at St. Pete College?

Today is the deadline for Governor Rick Scott to decide to re-appoint the more than 400 individuals left in limbo by the Florida Senate’s failure to confirm Scott’s picks to run universities, colleges, state agencies and other important boards.

One of those appointees is Pinellas Clerk of the Court Ken Burke, who sits on the St. Petersburg College board of trustees. A little bird tells me that Burke very well may not get the sign-off again despite being previously re-appointed.

While I’d be surprised if Burke wasn’t re-appointed, the situation is worth keeping an eye on.
