Walmart announced today plans to open a 39,000-square-foot Neighborhood Market in Tangerine Plaza in Midtown St. Petersburg. The store will hire up to 95 new associates and will provide local customers with a new, convenient option for their grocery shopping needs, including fresh produce and pharmacy services.

Walmart will host a press conference with local officials on October 7 to formally open a temporary hiring center located at 1201 22nd Street South. The majority of new associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand opening.

Applications for both full- and part-time jobs will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interested applicants may also apply online at here.

Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months.* Interested veterans may find out more at here
