Walmart announced today plans to open a 39,000-square-foot Neighborhood Market in Tangerine Plaza in Midtown St. Petersburg. The store will hire up to 95 new associates and will provide local customers with a new, convenient option for their grocery shopping needs, including fresh produce and pharmacy services.
Walmart will host a press conference with local officials on October 7 to formally open a temporary hiring center located at 1201 22nd Street South. The majority of new associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
