Jack Latvala had a profanity-laced tirade? Color me shocked!

Congratulations to Florida Times-Union reporter Matt Dixon — he has survived his first Latval-anche.

Evidently, the State Senator (who my wife swears is really a teddy bears) delivered a profanity-laced tirade to Dixon after he had the temerity of making a public information request seeking backup documents related to the Senate’s ethics reform package. It included a request for documents housed in Latvala’s office because he is chairman of the Senate Ethics and Elections Committee, which authored the bill.

He was not happy because he had to spend “a solid hour of personal time” going through personal emails to fulfill the request.

“I don’t like [expletive deleted] requests that waste my [expletive deleted] time,” said Latvala.

Oh, Matt, that’s just a tickle from the ol’ grizzly bear. Imagine what Latvala’s like when you write a negative blog post about him?

Anyway, stay strong, Matt. You haven’t made it in Tallahassee until you are on the other end of a dressing down by the last great statesman of the Florida Senate.
