Jack Latvala will not run for Bill Young’s seat, either

The short list of possible Republican contenders for Congressman Bill Young’s seat is growing shorter by the hour, as State Senator Jack Latvala tells me he won’t run in CD 13.

“I appreciate the many people who have called and texted me urging me to run for Congress but I do not plan to do that,” said Latvala. “I love the Florida Senate. I make an impact here and want to stay here. And besides who wants to be in a job that is rated less favorably than a cockroach?!”

Earlier Thursday morning, Senator Jeff Brandes and Pinellas County Commissioner John Morroni both declared they would not seek Young’s seat.
