Despite being the last candidate to enter the election for State Representative District 47, James Grant is the first candidate to qualify for the ballot by petition. In a race that includes opponents who filed over 13 months ago, the Grant campaign was able to collect 130% of the required number of petitions to qualify for the ballot in less than 4 months. Remarking upon the campaign’s success of qualifying by petition, James said:
“Since we began this process, we have been blessed by the outpouring of support our team has been shown by the people of District 47. This campaign believes strongly in the significance of qualifying to be on the ballot by petition and has been committed to accomplishing this goal from day one. Whether it was collecting one, two, or ten petitions at a time, this could have never been done without the hundreds of people who have been a crucial part of our grassroots effort.”
