House District 31 GOP hopeful Jennifer Mae Sullivan was the top fundraiser in the district for April, with $5,027 in donations. She narrowly edged out Republicans Randy Glisson and Terri Seefeldt, although Sullivan still lags far behind in total fundraising.

Sullivan now has $37,208 overall, far behind the fundraising frontrunner Glisson, who took in $4,085 in April for a total of $116,976, with $112,821 cash-on-hand.

Seefeldt, who came in second with $4,225 last month, has brought her total to $68,338, with $39,498 in her campaign war chest.

The three Republicans are battling it out to replace term-limited Rep. Bryan Nelson, who held the seat for eight years. HD 31 covers Lake and Orange Counties and includes Eustis, Tavares, Umatilla, Mt. Dora and Apopka.

Also in the GOP field are Belita Grassel and Joseph Stevens. Grassel picked up $543 last month, for a total of $26,407, while Stephens failed to submit a report by the midnight deadline.

Nelson has endorsed Seefeldt, a committee member of the Orange County Republican Executive Committee.

Democrat Jake Seymour reported zero contributions in April and has a total of $475.
