After losing the State House District 2 special election about four months ago, Democrat Jeremy Lau opened a campaign account to go again against Rep. Mike Hill in 2014.
Lau filed paperwork Friday to seek the Pensacola seat, which covers sections of Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties and the cities of Pensacola, Pensacola Beach and Gulf Breeze, according to the state Division of Elections.
Hill, the founder of the Northwest Florida Tea Party, won the June special election to succeed the late Rep. Clay Ford from Gulf Breeze. He defeated Democrat Lau with 57.88 percent of the vote.
