Jesse Biter appointed to Enterprise Florida board

Gov. Rick Scott announced today naming entrepreneur Jesse Biter to the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors.

Enterprise Florida is the quasi-governmental partnership between business and government leaders and is the stateโ€™s foremost economic development organization.

Biter, 38, is chief executive officer of Biter Enterprises, a Sarasota-based management firm with dealings in Information Technology, real estate, marketing, and transportation. He has served as a Speaker of the Florida House of Representative’s appointee to Enterprise Florida since 2011.

Biter succeeds Henry Rodriguez for a term ending September 30, 2018.

โ€œIโ€™m proud today to appoint Jesse to the Board of Directors for Enterprise Florida,โ€ Scott said in a statement. โ€œJesse has been a leader in the Florida business community, and Iโ€™m confident he will work tirelessly to make Florida the best state for job creation.โ€

The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
