Joe Negron’s impressive June fundraising

Opening day of Special Session marks the end of fundraising for June for members of the Legislature, but as Matt Dixon of the Naples Daily News mentioned last week in his article, some members have been quite busy raising money.

Case in point, Joe Negron’s political committee is expected to post raising approximately $620,000 for the Treasure Coast Alliance (TCA) — an impressive haul in just two weeks’ time, signaling that Negron’s bid is as strong as ever.

Insiders say this fundraising haul is a reflection of the hard work of Negron, his team and his pledges. These advisers also tell me he and his team are focused on winning the five open Senate seats in 2016, to increase the Republican majority and defend all Republican incumbents.

Now before anyone starts balking at him raising money prior to Special Session, state Sen. Latvala has also been raising money. House Majority held a major fundraising event last month and even state Sen. Tom Lee sent out a high-dollar invite just a few days ago for an event to be held after Special Session.

And now back to Special Session in hopes you all can get out of there and resume fundraising, vacationing and mourning the exit of Michael Van Sickler from Tallahassee.
