Upscale men’s fashion story John Craig Clothier is coming to Sundial this year. The Edwards Group announced Monday the store would be opening in retail space at the corner of Second Avenue North and Second Street in time for this year’s holiday shopping season.
“I am thrilled to welcome John Craig Clothier to Sundial,” said the center’s developer and owner Bill Edwards. “John Craig offers exceptional clothing and extraordinary customer service. This will be a wonderful complement to Sundial’s collection of retailers.”
The retail store offers high-end men’s clothing, accessories and footwear. The store boasts designer names like Samuelsohn, Hickey Freeman, Zanella and Canali. In addition to offering upscale clothing, the store also provides complimentary tailoring and made-to-measure customization.
This will be the eighth John Craig Clothier site. Other locations include Harbourside Place in Jupiter, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, two locations in Naples, the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando and one in Bonita Springs.
John Craig Clothier builds on an already upscale environment in Sundial. Two fine dining restaurants occupy most of the second floor – Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Sea Salt. Other high-end retailers are also located in Sundial including White House Black Market, Tommy Bahama, Diamonds Direct and Jackie Z Style Co.
It also comes as ground has broken on the Bliss luxury condo tower going up just a couple blocks away.
“Sundial is the perfect location for our next expansion,” added company owner Craig DeLongy. “The St. Petersburg area is growing by leaps and bounds, and we are excited to be a part of this magnificent center and incredibly vibrant downtown.”
The first John Craig Clothier shop opened in Winter Park in 1996. The small retail chain has been recognized on the Esquire Retail 100 list recognizing America’s finest menswear specialty stores in the United States.
