After a decisive victory today in the primary race for Senate District 17, Republican John Legg thanked voters for their support of his campaign and vowed to continue to push his conservative policy agenda forward as a member of the Florida Senate.

“I am truly honored by the trust that the voters have instilled in me by electing me as the next Republican Senator for District 17,” said Legg, who celebrated his victory with a small gathering of friends, family and supporters.  “I would not have been victorious tonight if it weren’t for our team of outstanding volunteers, dedicated campaign staff and the steady support that my community has shown me over the course of this campaign.”

“As a member of the Florida Senate, I will carry my conservative message to Tallahassee and ensure that our community’s principles are upheld,” said Legg.  “I vow to work to jumpstart our economy by reducing regulatory and tax burdens on our businesses, protect our core family values, and ensure that our children’s futures are bright.”
