John Morgan’s first fundraiser for Charlie Crist tonight

To date, there is one glaring omission from the list of contributors to Charlie Crist’s gubernatorial campaign: Attorney John Morgan.

Despite being billed as Crist’s “top cheerleader,” Morgan has yet to contribute to Crist’s political committee. Nor has Morgan yet hosted a fundriser for his employee, which, technically Crist is.

That changes tonight.

Morgan is hosting a fundraiser for Crist in Orlando tonight, just at the gubernatorial race is entering an interesting phase with Gov. Rick Scott’s campaign taking on water, while Crist seems to have found his sea legs after three years off the campaign trail.

According to an email from the Crist campaign, the event hosted by Morgan begins at 6 p.m. It takes place at Church Street Station (255 Garland Avenue) in Orlando. The suggested contribution is $3,000.

Before the event, Crist will be available to the media today around 5:45 p.m. at WildSide BBQ Bar & Grill.

Here’s the invite:
