Join St. Pete Preservation for a ‘Jewels of the Past’ walking tour Wednesday night

The first of our special evening walking tours will start at 6:30 pm from the “regular” tour starting point in front of the arcade at Central Café & Organics, 243 Central Ave. and next to the Detroit Hotel.  Consider supporting our downtown restaurants by getting a meal before or after the tour.  The tour will be our first that highlights the new markers/plaques and the historic buildings the markers describe around Williams Park that were installed as a joint project of Saint Petersburg Preservation and the City.  The tour takes its name from the numerous historic buildings that have been lost over the years and will offer a leisurely stroll around downtown taking note of both some of the lost jewels of the past as well as some of the gems that still remain.
