Jon Bon Jovi to hold GOTV event for Hillary Clinton in Tampa on November 5

in 2017 by

Eight years ago, comedian Chris Rock cracked jokes in East Tampa on the Saturday before the election to drive out voters to support Barack Obama three days later.

This time around, rocker Jon Bon Jovi will be performing in Tampa, trying to entice voters to the polls to vote for Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton campaign announced Tuesday the New Jersey musician — best known these days for his performance in ads for DIRECTV — will host a Get Out The Vote (GOTV) for Clinton’s “Love Trumps Hate” performance series.

Other details for the event — such as where it will take place and at what time — have not been announced yet. The campaign says those additional details, including information on ticket distribution, will be released soon.
