Former Utah governor Jon Huntsman is headed to Florida as he continues to consider entering the 2012 Republican presidential campaign.

While Huntsman is expected to meet with key Republican party officials, the Huntsman campaign confirmed the potential Republican presidential candidate will not meet with Florida Republican governor Rick Scott. Huntsman officials made sure to say the trip is not meant to serve as a snub to the Tea Party leader, but rather the former governor is not traveling to Tallahassee. Huntsman will instead visit Tampa and Miami.

The Utah Republican will travel to the state as speculation over a Huntsman campaign continues to mount. The trip to Florida comes in the midst of a meeting between Huntsman and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley. Huntsman is also expected to travel to New Jersey in the coming week, meeting with New Jersey governor Chris Christie.
