Citing the need for experienced leadership in a county government depleted by job losses and retirements, really-good-person Kathryn Starkey tells me she is seriously considering running for the Pasco County Commission.
Starkey had previously said she was not going to run, but now says positive changes in her life are providing her with the opportunity to run.
Expected to file next week, Starkey would be the ninth candidate in a crowded field for the open seat on the County Commission prompted by the retirement of Anne Hidlebrand.
“I bring something different to the field in terms of leadership and experience,” said Starkey. “If I run, I hope the voters think me worthy to represent them.”
