‘Keep Jim Kennedy’ campaign holds fundraiser on Wednesday

in Uncategorized by

Friends and supporters that want to keep Jim Kennedy in District 2 of the St. Petersburg City Council will gather for a fundraising event Wednesday.

Kennedy faces activist Lorraine Margeson for reelection to a second term in 2013.

The host committee for the event includes:

  • Mollie & Greg Holden
  • Ed Montanari
  • Laura Boehmer
  • Megan & Aaron Dobiesz
  • Sara & Nathan Stonecipher
  • Mary & Tee Grizzard
  • Matt Frey
  • Jesse Landis
  • Kanika Tomalin

Since his appointment in 2007, Kennedy has chaired the city’s budget and investment committees, as well as the Pinellas Planning Council.  He has also been instrumental in bringing playgrounds and community parks to District 2, which covers the northern part of the city.

As an attorney, he often examines agreements placed before the board for legal issues and does not hesitate to call out inconsistencies and lack of preparation by staff.

The fundraiser begins 6:00 p.m. at the Taproom at the Hollander Hotel, 421 Fourth Avenue North. For more information, or to make a donation, visit www.KeepKennedy.com.
