Ken Welch raises over $21K for County Commission race (but went through over $14K)

I made my peace with Mitch Kates a while ago, but one of the criticisms I frequently made of him was that his campaigns burned through money too quickly (see: Wagman, Scott).

That’s why it’s no surprise to see Ken Welch’s campaign, a client of Kates’ (before he moved on to a campaign in the country of Georgia) burn through almost two-thirds of its money (including on ads on SaintPetersBlog) during the first quarter.

Welch raised $21,561 during the first quarter, but spent $14,482 during that same period.  That’s a pretty high burn rate.

Thank goodness Welch doesn’t have a serious opponent.
