Unlike any other time in recent history, there is considerable interest in next year’s Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit court race.
County Commissioner Kevin Beckner has challenged Democratic incumbent Pat Frank, while former Fox-13 consumer reporter Eric Seidel adds name recognition on the Republican side.
While Frank’s experience and name recognition may make her the favorite in the contest, Beckner continues to lead in fundraising.
Beckner raised more than three times than Frank last month, $13,080 to Frank’s $3,400.
Among those sending in $1,000 contributions to Beckner’s campaign were Ron Christaldi, the chairman of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, and Rob Reina, CEO of Talk Fusion.
On the GOP side, Seidel raised $4,825 in November. There were three different donors: Morgan Auto Group, Brandon Ford and Don Phillips, a Tampa developer and GOP fundraiser.
All told, Beckner leads all candidates with $146,761 raised. Frank has $93,569, and Seidel has taken in $56,313.
