Kevin Cate’s very kind gesture

As my family continues to deal with the fallout (it looks like it may get worse, at least bureaucratically as we deal with adjusters and insurance types, before it gets better) from the fire at Winterrock, we were treated to a very kind act of generosity this morning.

When placing our order with the hotel for breakfast, the receptionist informed us that the bill for our meal would be taken care of by our dear friend, Kevin Cate.

After another sleepless night, albeit it at a nice hotel, this singular act embodies the generous spirit of so many of our friends and family who have offered all forms of assistance. 

I would ask that you keep us in our prayers, but there are so many other deserving souls without the network and resources we have to get past this kind of traumatic moment. Please join me in praying for them.

And thank you, Kevin, for breakfast.
