Kriseman names Robert Danielson to serve as City Marketing Director

Today, Mayor Rick Kriseman named Robert Danielson to serve as City Marketing Director, effective immediately. Until today, Danielson served as the Interim Director.

“Robert Danielson has been an integral part of this city team for more than twenty-five years. He is an accomplished marketing professional, and I have complete faith and trust that he will serve as a strong leader in a critically important city department,” said Mayor Kriseman. “I have full confidence in Robert. I know he and his team will make the Sunshine City proud.”

Danielson started his career with the City of St. Petersburg’s Marketing Department in 1987, and was shortly promoted from Information Specialist to Manager.

As Marketing Director, Robert will oversee management of the city’s marketing and communications, online operations, creative services, StPeteTV, event recruitment and marketing outreach. He was also appointed by Mayor Kriseman as the city’s LGBTQ liaison to address concerns and provide a conduit to the Mayor’s Office from the LGBT community.
