The Kriseman Administration is rapidly approaching 100 days since taking over St. Petersburg City Hall, and they are celebrating by inviting every single city employee to a “staff meeting” to be held this afternoon at the Mahaffey. Of course, emergency personnel and some shift workers will not be in attendance (they will have access to the video version online later), but this is the first time a meeting of this kind has ever been called.
Mayor Rick Kriseman and Deputy Mayor Kanika Tomalin plan to unveil the Mayor’s vision, values, and operational strategy for the City of St. Petersburg.
It is a coup for Kriseman to have secured Tampa Bay Rays Manager Joe Maddon as a speaker. If Kriseman wanted to get the city team excited about his vision, there couldn’t be anyone better to speak to teamwork and working toward a great goal than Maddon.
Just don’t call Kriseman’s speech today a ‘State of the City’ address … that’s Bob Buckhorn’s thing.
