La Gaceta about six months behind on “latest” developments in Tampa Bay’s State Senate races

in Uncategorized by

Just received this week’s edition of La Gaceta, datedthe 16th of March, and noticed this blurb from Patrick Manteiga:

“It’s rumored that incumbent State Senator Jack Latvala could jump to another seat.

The speculation is that Sentor Latvala would announce for the seat just north of his present District 16 seat because it has more Republicans and would be easier to win.”

Wow, La Gaceters, what led you to that earth-shattering conclusion? The fact that Latvala has said as much? The fact that Latvala has endorsed Jim Frishe who is now running for the Central-South state Senate seat in Pinellas?

Where did you hear such a rumor, Mr. Mantiega? On any number of blog posts offered on this site or the Bay Buzz or the Buzz or Naked Politics or any other political site covering Florida politics?

Like I said, earth-shattering.

But don’t worry, dear readers, if you are looking for where sh^t really stands, you can read my take here.
