It will take more than $1 million dollars for Lady Gaga to support her opposing political party.

The “Born This Way” singer, who has openly championed liberal causes such as gay marriage, recently turned down a huge chunk o’ change in return for appearing at the Republican National Convention last year!

The Washington Examiner reports that Mother Monster turned down an offer of $1 million to play at the event, even after the Republican Party told her it would be “honoring women who run for public office.” The organizers even offered to donate $150,000 to a domestic violence shelter, but Gaga still said no.

The RNC also failed to score appearances by Dolly Parton and Pitbull.

Ultimately, Gaga openly pledged her support for President Barack Obama and even played a private event for his staff.
