The city’s qualification period ended at 5 p.m. last Thursday.
Two candidates will vie for mayor and two others will vie for Seat 3. Mayor Pat Gerard will try to fend off former Mayor Bob Jackson. Gerard was first elected to the commission in 2000 and defeated Jackson three years ago.
Jackson was a two-term mayor and served on the City Commission for three decades. Curtis Holmes, who was defeated by Commissioner Woody Brown two years ago, will challenge incumbent Commissioner Rodney Woods for Seat 3.
