Life is complete: I got a birthday shout-out in the POLITICO Playbook.

The idea to write Sunburn, my morning read of what’s hot in Florida politics, was originally inspired by Mike Allen’s POLITICO Playbook — a daily briefing on national politics that literally sets the agenda for Washington, D.C. One of the best sections of the Playbook (and, I believe, Sunburn) are the birthday shout-outs to assorted politicos and media types.  I don’t know about Allen but I’m sure he feels the same as I do: that recognizing others’ birthdays is a great way to start the day.

So today I can half-jokingly say that my life is now complete after receiving a birthday shout-out in the POLITICO Playbook.

Thanks to Allen and POLITICO’s James Hohmann for including me.
